Strawberry Gelatin Cake

1 pkg (2 layer size) yellow cake mix
3 oz (1 box) strawberry-flavored gelatin
1/2 cup oil
1/4 cup water or berry juice
3 whole egg
1 1/2 cup Frozen strawberries, crushed and divided
1/2 cup butter
3 cups powdered sugar

Preparation

Empty cake mix into large bowl of mixer. Add the gelatin, oil, water and eggs. Mix thoroughly with electric mixer. Fold in 1 cup of crushed strawberries. Pour into two 9-inch paper-lined cake pans. Bake in 350 degree oven 30 to 35 minutes or until done.

Let cake cool before icing. For the icing, thoroughly cream butter and sugar together. Fold in 1/2 cup of strawberries until combined. Spread icing onto cake.
