  • 1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Sift together dry ingredients. Work in the shortening with knife, fork, or pastry blender. Add potato and mix thoroughly. Add liquid, mixing quickly until you have a soft dough.
  • 2. Roll out lightly to 1/2-inch thickness. Cut with a biscuit cutter. Place on a buttered pan and bake 12 to 15 minutes.
